Mercedes-AMG Announces Three New 53-Series Models With 430-HP Inline Six

Mercedes-AMG successfully fulfilled its promise to bring back six engine engines to three new 53-Series models in the United States.

Starting with a 3.0-liter 430-horsepower turbo at its core, the upcoming CLS53, E53 and E53 Cabriolet will also use one of the first examples of AMG AMG "hybrid" systems. The latter provides an additional momentary surge of 21 hp and 184 pound-feet of torque, making the new Mercedes ranks very smooth and potent. Power is delivered to a brand-new nine speed gearbox and legitimately authenticated to all four tires with AMG all-wheel drive units.

For CLS-Class, Series 53 will add a newly introduced portfolio that we first saw in November. By working with the tweaked version of the hybrid powertrain used on the Mercedes' CLS450, the CLS53 has a 63 hp and 15 pound-feet twist. It will be built on the platform of MRA (Modular Rear Architecture) manufacturer which also underlies the list of E-Class models.

Speaking of luxury E, the new Mercedes-AMG E53 will provide a middle ground for consumers who do not feel the need for the biturbo 4.0L biturbo V-8 found on E63 and E63 S. Buyers initially offer 3.0L Turbo V-6 at E43, and now, this six-powered aircraft will offer a good dose of power for AMG medium range offerings. The E53 Cabriolet will also receive maintenance in a drop-top configuration, rounding up a large-bodied Benz.

Mercedes-AMG believes this to be the next step in luxury sport performance by providing drivers with instant and seamless power. Chairman of the Board, Tobias Moers, said this about the introduction of the 53-Series series:

"With the new 53-Series model, we are expanding our portfolio in the first step towards a structured future with a combination of design, performance, and sporty efficiency at the forefront." He continued, "The basis for this is the contemporary drive configuration in the form of an inline six-cylinder engine with an electric complement compressor ... precision and design that focuses on driving dynamics is a hallmark of AMG.
